Charm by Seth Jani

The world around my wrist
with its blue cargo
of days and oceans,
with its secret jewels
dancing in the grasshopper light
of late summer. Tethering me
to the unpredictable music
of wind, and the pain
of small creatures lifting
each iota of dust
to their rightful kingdom
in the sky.
