Seen and not heard by Roy Duffield

Many trees, the traveller’s seen

Though their names, she never learnt

But along the road, she sowed her own

Which the botanist’s never heard.

As long as together

They don’t talk trees,

To me

They’re both experts.

Many songs, the traveller’s sung

Though the keys, she never learnt

But down in the valley she cut her own

The musician’s never heard

So to me,

They’re both

Great composers,

As long as they don’t duet.
