Embrace The Glee, O My Lovely Friend by Rubab Zahra Sarfraz

O my lovely friend, why are you in a perpetual worry?

Blink away the nuances else journey will become blurry

Take off the quilt of fear for it does not suit you

Let the sun rays in and shine on the fiercer you

The voices will be there always, but that's okay

Change their narrative to suit your own forte

You conflict your own past self yes, certainly

You are evolving, why is that even surprising?

You dream. You work. You pray. You contemplate

Why is that you love to dwell in self hate?

Take a look in the mirror and see how far you've come

There's still a long way to go but take a bow, you deserve it

I admit that our dear time is always in a rush to speed away

But who asked you to haste with every clock tick anyway?

Move time when you want to blow like a breeze

Make it static when you want to be at your peace

Straighten the bridge over your eyes, embrace the glee

O my lovely friend, for I am you, and you are me
