Emerging by Lisa Molina

How to reach the center?

Holding together this universe,

that by some law of physics

Is pulling itself apart

With no center of gravity.

What do the swirling,

Seemingly out of control

Events of life;

The kaleidoscope of

People, memories,

Fear of future,

And numbness

Require,

In order to be

Planted, nurtured, grounded

Then flourish?

There is a liminal space;

A gift of ribbon-wrapped presence

That I so carefully open.

Through time, trials,

teachers,and testimonies,

I learn

The Alchemy

That transforms the cave’s darkness

To warm, golden light.

Finally,

and much to my consternation ,

My one true soul

Believes it can heal,

Emerging to

Its peaceful rebirth.
