A Storm by Marilynn Carter

snowflakes float and swirl

silence
except for howling of the wind

as far as the eye can see
whiteness prevails

frosted etchings merge on the windows

no cars
no people

only whiteness

this is the heart of winter

blowing us her frosty kisses
