Free by Craig Cruise

I hear the ocean

It calls to me

Crashing waves

Set me free

I feel the stillness

In mountain peak

Walking trails

The peace I seek

Quiet mornings

Spent at home

Although I wander

I’ll never roam…

Craig Cruise is a poet. Living in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains for most of his life, the amount of material to write about is never ending. Besides living in the beautiful mountains subject matter comes easy as he is not only a poet but also a husband, father, grandfather, chaplain and police officer.
